Day Trip to Pompeii & Sorrento

At the designated time, we'll meet in front of the Leonardo da Vinci Museum, at the Piazza del Popolo in Rome. We'll leave the capital behind to discover Pompeii and Sorrento in one day. Are you ready? Let's go!

During our journey south, we'll pass the picturesque landscapes of the Italian countryside. After almost 3 hours of traveling, we'll reach the Pompeii archeological site, where we'll embark on a fascinating 1.5-hour guided tour.

Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Pompeii is famous for being one of the world's best-preserved ancient cities. Did you know Pompeii was buried under layers of volcanic ash from Mount Vesuvius? Accompanied by the guide, you'll understand what Roman life was like and explore the emblematic sites such as the Forum, the theatre, and the villas adorned with frescoes and mosaics.

Hungry? After the tour, you'll have free time to grab a bite at a restaurant in Pompeii. We'll then regroup to start our journey toward the coastal town of Sorrento. Known for its impressive views of the Mediterranean Sea, lemon trees, and colorful little houses. Upon arrival, our first stop will be at a small shop where we can sample the famous limoncello liqueur. Afterward, we’ll give you 1 to 2 hours of free time to explore its charming streets.

Afterward, we'll return to Rome to conclude this day trip to Pompeii and Sorrento, arriving 13 hours later.
