Valencia Fallas-Making Workshop
Activity Details
We'll pick you up from your chosen meeting point in Valencia and make our way to the Museo del Gremio de Artistas Falleros.
We'll explore the permanent exhibition to discover different pardoned paper maché sculptures, original sketches, and other historic pieces that trace the evolution of Fallas art across the decades.
After the guided tour of the museum, we'll head to an authentic Valencian Fallas workshop that operates all year round. There, we'll get a brief introduction to the creative process behind the making of the figures, the massive statues that will be burned during the Fallas festival. As we'll see, the whole process is divided into several phases: design, sculpting, decoration, and more.
After the theory, it's time to get our hands dirty and create our own falla. The Fallas artist will guide us through the different phases of the process, which will culminate in the completion of our very own figure.
To finish, we'll sit down inside the workshop for a delicious horchata and fartons, traditional delicacies, while chatting with the artist, who will tell us about the incredible Fallas atmosphere that takes over Valencia during its most beloved festival.
We'll then take you back to your pickup point in Valencia, wrapping up this 3.5-hour activity.
